Counseling & Support Services

In individual counseling, the client and therapist (and caregivers), determine goals for counseling to work through. For children, individual counseling involves play, learning how to communicate feelings, and psychoeducational pieces, which is later taught to parents for continuity of care.

Jamie is a Registerd Play Therapist and utilizes play and expressive arts throughout her sessions when deemed appropriate.

For teens, counseling typically involves talk therapy, mindfulness education and other types of therapeutic outlets that are determined based upon the client’s need.

Teletherapy is available in the state of Missouri upon request after the client has been established in person.

Navigating the special education or 504 process can be tricky. Jamie is available to help you understand your child’s diagnosis based on special education criteria, what services could be available to them and the laws regarding your child’s services in either a 504 or IEP.

Jamie is also able to help you navigate asking for evaluation for special education services or a 504, if you believe your child could benefit from these services.

Consultation support fees vary upon need.

Parent Support Groups

The constant fighting, bickering, and disrespect towards one another… you are at your wits end. What do you do? Let’s talk!

I’m happy to help you and your family navigate strategies for supporting your kids together! First, we will meet to discuss your concerns (as parents) and then I will meet with your children to review strategies and give you all “homework” to work on together. This may not work with all siblings, but we will work together to discuss ideas and strategies to best fit your family and navigate these challenges.
