Boundaries can be a beautiful thing, but also very hard to set in place.

To me, boundaries say to others, "This is how I would like our relationship to be, in order for it to be a positive one."

The lovely Brene Brown said, "Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we disappoint others."

One of the hardest places to set a boundary can be with friends/family and the workplace. Here are some ideas of how to set better boundaries for yourself:

-If you work from home, set an alarm to log off for the day and do it.

-Don't respond to emails outside of working hours (unless emergent).

-Learn to say NO without an explanation

-Stop apologizing for your feelings

-Explaining to others when you don't have the mental capacity to let them "vent."

What other healthy boundaries are important for you and your mental health?
